JUTA TO ROSHKA VIA CHAUKHI PASS

Chaukhi Massif, (Also commonly known among mountaineers as “Dolomites of Caucasus,”) is located at the North-Eastern wing of Caucasus mountains and lays the boarder between the regions of Khevi (Mtiuleti) and Khevsureti.
Take this moderate difficulty trekking tour through the mysterious and picturesque views of Chaukhi mountains, alpine meadows and colorful lakes. The pass reaches up to 3341 m altitude. At the other side of the pass, you will find meadows with intriguing rock formations (Roshka stones) and Abudelauri lakes – three beautiful alpine lakes with different colors (green, blue and white).

Day 1: Tbilisi –Stepantsminda - Juta

Departure from Tbilisi Early morning, going through the Georgian Military Highway towards the North, through several highlights along the way. (Such as Jvari Monastery, Ananuri Fortress, Jvari pass.) visiting beautiful Gergety Trinity Monastery above Stepantsminda, arriving to Juta village by car. Accommodation in a mountain cabin.

Day 2: Juta-Abudelauri Lakes
Descending to the village Roshka, pick up by car & drive back towards Tbilisi; On the way it’s possible to stop by for rafting & Kayaking.

Day 3: Abudelauri Lakes – Roshka - Tbilisi
Trip to Tsinandali, visiting Chavchavadze home museum - 18th century Georgian noble family house, transportation to Gremi Monastery and lunch at TEMI community and social enterprise that produces organic food and wines. Visiting Nekresi, one of the oldest monasteries in Georgia (4th century). Dinner and city tour in Telavi, a picturesque town with a beautiful view of Alazani valley.
